Paxton Guesser White
Paxton Guesser White is also known under its full title of Sauvignon Blend “The Guesser”, Paxton, McLaren Vale in South Australia. This is a great biodynamic white wine blend that is a pale straw in colour. The blend changes each year as the Paxton team pick out the varieties that are showing bright fruit driven characters.
On the nose there are some citrus hints and tropical fruit. There are aromas of fruits, with hints of ginger, spices, citrus and floral perfume. The palate is light and fresh and delivers what is promised with a salad of tropical fresh fruit, before finishing dry.
The Guesser Range from Paxton are blends that change every year depending on the bright fruit driven grapes available. Drink-ability from a young age is the key, the wines represent exceptional value for bio-dynamic wine lovers. The Guesser range of wines gets its name from David Paxton’s days working in shearing sheds in country Australia. The Guesser’s job is to sort, clean & class the fleece of each shorn sheep. This works in quite well with the history of our cellar door location Landcross Farm, which was previously an old sheep farm.

No animal products are used in making this wine: this is the case with all wines on our website. This is not the case with so many wines that are commonly on sale in the UK. Far too many wines have animal products used as a so-called production aid; they will often have a large array of chemical additives as well. Have a look at our page on additives allowed in wines. The care taken in growing the grapes and making the wine comes through in the taste of the final product. This is a vegan wine.
