Description

La Jara Pinot Grigio Rose

La Jara Pinot Grigio Rose is made from selected bunches of gingery pink grapes. The organically grown grapes are fermented in their own skins to give the wine its natural rose blush colour. This rose wine is beautifully pale in colour and has a light summer fruit nose. It is delicate and fruity on the palate with great acidity to finish.

The La Jara organic winery has been in the same family since 1891. The family has a great love for the land. The land and vines have been handed down the generations. This love is carried on by brothers Massimo and Paolo Marion, who have been running the vineyards since 1999 with renewed energy.

The grower is probably best known for its Proseccos, the Pinot Grigios are also superb wines and great value. Matthew Jukes, Wine Columnist at The Mail describes La Jara as a Prosecco genius. The Daily Telegraph refers to La Jara as Prosecco royalty.

This wine is happily quaffed on its own in good company or partnered with a platter of vegan antipasto or a summer salad.

Grower: La Jara.

Serve chilled.

Matches: antipasto, summer salads or by itself.

As with all wines on this website, this wine is made without animal products. This is not the case with so many wines that are commonly on sale in the UK. Far too many wines have animal products used as a so-called production aid; they will often have a large array of chemical additives as well. Have a look at our page on additives allowed in wines. Many vegan wines are also organic or better still bio-dynamically grown. The care taken in growing the grapes and making the wine comes through in the taste of the final product. This is a vegan wine.
